Ndambarari yuĩ o irũa rĩa mĩreera; nayo Hinga nĩ njĩtĩi, na nĩambaga igua handũ hanaambũo nĩ ĩngĩ. Hũngi no yo ya Gĩkũyũ na Mũmbi — ya maitũ na ya baba, na cũcũ na guka, mwanake na mũirĩtu… tũihũa na gacũkũrũ.
Njûkî Hûngi is an apolitical, not-for-profit cultural organization in Kiambu County, Kenya, preserving and promoting Gĩkũyũ culture.
We believe culture is a living heritage — one that shapes identity, strengthens families, nurtures responsible leadership and builds peaceful, cohesive communities. Through public education, research, cultural exhibitions and community engagement, we preserve indigenous knowledge while demonstrating its relevance to contemporary society.
Over the past two years, our open-air Kirira Townhall Discussions have grown into one of the largest community-based cultural forums in Central Kenya.

Artisans showcase beadwork, weaving and craftsmanship — living skills that carry meaning, identity and livelihood.
Thiomi ciitũ nĩ kĩĩyo giitũ — our languages are our treasure. Language learning and public education keep Gĩkũyũ flowing to the next generation.
